Easter celebrations kicked off Saturday, March 27, with the Easter Bunny and helpers distributing gifts to Tribal youth. Little Wild Wolves Youth Center staff, along with volunteers and members of the Tribal Council, hosted the free drive-through event.

With COVID-19 restrictions still in place, kids remained in their families’ vehicles as they circled Chief Leschi Schools and collected candy, toothbrushes and Gatorade.

“Everything we have learned from COVID-19 will benefit our future,” said Youth Director Lisa Earl.

Kids’ faces lit up when they spotted the Easter Bunny, Elmo, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, the Grinch, Tigger, and a real-life pig!

Tribal Elder Ramona Bennett sat in her car and watched the event. “It’s really cool to see the adults take the time to show up to make the kids happy,” she said.
