Tribal Council expresses condolences on recent youth tragedies

Dear Tribal Community,

The Puyallup Tribal Council would like to express our deepest sympathies in light of recent tragedies close to home and far away. This week family and friends are gathering in Uvalde, Texas, to lay their children and teachers to rest after the horrible attack at Robb Elementary School.

It breaks our hearts to watch the whole town grieve and to think of what their innocent loved ones went through. We send our prayers to the Creator to comfort the family and friends of the victims.

Youth today face many challenges. Our hope is that you talk to your children about their lives, and how to respect and lift up each and every person in your school and community. Every life is important.

Chief Leschi Schools has parent resources to help talk with their children at home about this tragedy.
