Tonight is the Tideflats Industrial Regulations hearing for the Tacoma Planning Commission. Up for discussion are proposed bans on mining, coal terminals, smelting, quarrying and severe limits to chemical and fossil fuel uses. They enlist several methods to stop making these facilities outright permitted and under a conditional use permit, which would allow for adequate consultation and conditioning of further information. Anyone with thoughts is invited to give testimony.
