On November 19, 2019 Puyallup Tribe Presents to Tacoma City Staff Amber Sterud Hayward, Director of Puyallup Tribal Language Program, delivered a presentation entirely in Twulshootseed on the tragic experiences of Cushman Indian Boarding School and Cushman Indian Hospital to Tacoma City staff.
