The Puyallup Tribe and the Seattle Sounders FC RAVE Foundation broke ground Friday, May 10, at Chief Leschi Schools on a mini soccer pitch.

Puyallup Tribal Council Vice Chairwoman Sylvia Miller shared remarks before inviting representatives from the Tribe and RAVE Foundation to the stage to speak. Also present were members of FIFA World Cup 26 leadership, including CEO Peter Tomozawa.

Heritage Division Manager Connie McCloud delivered a blessing, and students from Chief Leschi’s culture classes drummed and sang.
