March 28, 2019 — 18 tribes, including 17 Washington State Tribes and Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, came together in support of Puyallup Tribe, opposing the liquified natural gas plant in Tacoma.
The Washington State Tribes signed and sent a letter to Governor Jay Inslee on March 28 detailing their support for Puyallup, honoring treaty law and protecting Coast Salish territory.
