With the invitation from our partners at the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of Seattle, we were able to add locations from around the reservation to their SeattleFWC26 Augmented Reality (AR) game that invites fans, visitors and residents to:
- Compete for SeattleFWC26 prizes.
- Explore local art, culture, food and small businesses.
- Broaden the benefit to communities across Washington as we prepare to host one of the world’s largest sporting events.
This collaboration was an opportunity to highlight the rich culture and history of the Puyallup Tribe. At the forefront of the application, you are met with the txʷəlšucid word, “yəhaw”. This word was not only chosen for its simplicity, but also for its meaning, proceed, or in the soccer world, let’s go.
Being on the world stage provides a unique opportunity to not only expose the world to Puyallup culture, but to teach Puyallup culture. The SEA&WIN app is just the beginning of where you will see that voice shine through.
