A blessing of the logs ceremony for the Tribe’s longhouse was held May 23 with Cultural Center Assistant Director Clinton McCloud and Skokomish Elder Delbert Miller leading the ceremony.
Miller was one of the guest speakers at the longhouse groundbreaking earlier this year.
The longhouse will be approximately 24,000 square feet with the indoor space being approximately 17,300 square feet.
After the ceremony, Puyallup drummers and singers shared a song and dance.
