Elders got a head start on the summer celebrations at the Elders Luncheon on June 20, celebrating the Fourth of July early and welcoming in the warm weather.
Accompanied by live music performed by Corey Wilkins, Elders were treated to a lunch courtesy of the House of Respect staff, beginning with a variety of fruits and salads followed by barbecue favorites like ribs, corn and chicken.
The luncheon concluded with a raffle hosted by Tribal Council Chairman Bill Sterud and Councilwoman Monica Miller, with lucky Elders winning cash, home goods, games and other summer-themed prizes.
