Elders enjoyed mouthwatering blueback salmon during the July Elders Luncheon at the House of Respect on July 18.
The lunch spread featured a wide variety of choices for Elders in addition to the salmon including roast pork loin, baked chicken, potatoes, wheat rolls with butter, baby carrots, green salad, bow tie pasta salad, fresh berry platter and a chocolate cupcake.
Lauren Butler gave the blessing before lunch was served and Tribal Elder Ramona Bennett spoke about this month’s Honored Elder, Sam Stiltner.
Stiltner is the law offices director for the Tribe and has worked as a lawyer for the past 48 years. He was blanketed by Vice Chairwoman Sylvia Miller, Councilwoman Annette Bryan and Councilwoman Anna Bean.
