Puyallup Tribal Council Chairman Bill Sterud and Councilman James Rideout met with U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra Sept. 11 to discuss issues critical to the health and welfare of the Puyallup Tribe, its members and surrounding community.
Representatives from the Department of Health and Human Services and the Secretary’s Tribal Advisory Committee also took tours of the Tribe’s Tiny Home Village and Puyallup Tribal Health Authority the next day.
Tiny Homes Director Linda Dillon gave a presentation to the group on what services they provide in the Tiny Home Village.
PTHA Executive Director David Tonemah, along with Danelle Reed, William Chythlook and Alan Shelton later did the same, giving details on the patients PTHA sees, services they provide and the residency program.
