Tim Reynon

Tim Reynon was elected to the Puyallup Tribal Council on June 6, 2026. He previously served on Council from 2014 to 2020. Before his most recent election, he served as executive director of the Washington Governor’s Office of Indian Affairs and before that as Tribal relations director for the City of Seattle.

Reynon has also served the Tribe as a Tribal attorney, people operations director for Puyallup Tribal Health Authority and as executive director of human resources, training & education, a position he held for more than 13 years.

Tim earned his juris doctorate degree from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark School of Law and his bachelor of social work degree from BYU-Hawaii. He was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1999 and is a past president of the Northwest Indian Bar Association.

Tim also was co-chair of De-Escalate WA, the coalition that led the successful Initiative 940 campaign in 2018. He has served on numerous boards and task forces, including the Governor’s Task Force on Independent Investigations of Police Use of Force in 2019, and currently serves as the vice chair for the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission.

Tim and his wife, Maile, have been married for more than 30 years, and they are the proud parents of three young men.
